Subject Description

Teacher in Charge: A. Wright

The NCEA Level 1 course develops skills in writing, reading, speaking, listening, viewing and presenting. There is a focus on developing literacy skills, so that students are prepared for NCEA Level 2. Formal writing skills are a key focus of this course. There are 10 internal credits available in this course. Students will complete two external standards that are worth a total of 8 credits.

A Level 1 English course is a compulsory subject for all students.
