Subject Description
Teacher in Charge: Mr S. Pimm
An integrated Te Reo Māori course, which focuses on the four main components of the language: Speaking, Listening, Reading and Writing. The achievement objectives of this course are to successfully prepare students for Level 1 NCEA Achievement Standards.

Koha for noho marae where applicable
Entry Guidelines
Genuine interest in Māori language and culture. Ideally, students should have studied Māori at Year 9 and 10 with some success. At least a basic understanding of Māori language to Level 4 of the curriculum. The ability to stand and introduce yourself and other members of your family is an absolute necessity. There is often a possibility of a noho marae during the year
