This course further develops algebraic skills, introduces the concept of calculus, and extends the knowledge and understanding of trigonometric and probability (statistics) processes. It is a pre-requisite for NCEA Level 3 Mathematics (with calculus) courses in the future.

All Level 1 externals attempted and AS 1.2 Algebra (with merit), AS 1.1 Number AS 1.3 Graphs, AS 1.6 Geometric reasoning.

Externally Assessed Credits: 13 credits.
Internally Assessed Credits: 7 credits.
