Subject Description

Teacher in Charge: M. Parr.

This course has a large practical component and covers physical performance, personal training, social responsibility, skill learning, sports sociology and coaching. The achievement standard assessments are in the form of a written report and/or a practical demonstration.

This course is valuable for anyone interested in the sport and exercise industry and will lay foundations for health related studies as well as going some way to develop personal traits useful to all in the future.

Entry Guidelines

The best preparation for this course is for learners to engage in and achieve 10 Credits from the Physical Education Level 1 course. Entry can also be discussed with the Head of Faculty if PE was not studied in the previous year. 

Contributions and Equipment/Stationery

Approximately $40 for local field trips (dependent on student numbers)
