Subject Description

Teacher in Charge: S. Healey

This course looks at maintaining well being for life. Students will evaluate exercise programmes and sports skills drawing on their knowledge of physiological principles. A research project investigating a current sports related issue is also undertaken. On the practical side students look at how to improve their skill level in a practical performance and in an off road Duathlon. The course is internally assessed through achievement standards with 16 credits available throughout the year.


Contributions and Equipment/Stationery

$25 for student workbook & approximately $85 for local field trips (dependent on student numbers)

Entry Guidelines

10 credits from the Level 2 Physical Education course or by interview with the Head of Faculty if PE was not studied in the previous year.
